Hey everyone!

Recently it was shown on Tabletop Gaming News (the link you can find somewhere in the links section) that Elhiem has posted some interesting pics from his photobucket account of upcoming stuff! This includes 2003 Brits (also handy for ultra modern Brits of the reserve of desperate kind!) And U.S troops in IOTV! It also looks like Somalians and U.S ‘Black hawk Down’ troops are on their way.

However whilst zooming around the net I have decided on a few more factions I wouldn’t mind collecting small armies for. South America and Africa are two continents yet to feature in the big mix of things since neither really holds any major faction, but rather becomes a warzone between larger factions, with localised smaller factions in between.

Both Elhiem, S&S, Musketeer, R.H models and (although unsure if its floating about) Britannia produced some great African 20mm militias. The vast majority of which carry the usual AK-47s and RPGs and wearing all sorts of crazy, ineffective clothing (Though I have yet to see a mini done based on a militiaman in some far of civil war who took to wearing a child’s bright orange paddling pool floats as ‘bullet proof armour’…) However what about South American? I have decided after scouting through various ‘army identification’ websites the vast majority wear some form or simple copy of 1990s U.S army webbing, or wear tropical Soviet/Cuban gear. The best company for this looks like Stonewall miniatures on their ‘Urgent Fury’ range. Looks like I’ll be making a small private army for a newly emerged South american Junta!

EN-4 background posted!

Decided to post the EN-4 background today, will be expanding on the British civil war soon, but with the arrival of my bots I just had to develop the reason for buying them! Enjoy!

Now that things appear to be calming down I’ve got some spare time to continue with the blog. I recently received some stuff I ordered, including The Scenes 15mm (or 20mm!) Robots, the 21mm sized robots are perfect to play as Terminators, but for Last War will be taking the role of the Lost EN-4 bots! Furthermore, I received some diecast tanks made by a company called ‘Fabri’ I believe. You can find these on Ebay, they may be expensive since most are coming from the Ukraine/Russia, however they deal primarily with Soviet/Russian federation 20mm armoured vehicles and are actually very decent vehicles!

Here is just a scale photo, with an Under fire Brit on the left, The Scene Heavy Android in the centre and a Elhiem fig on the right!

If your here in the U.K you will have noticed (not sure if its reached international news yet) that London and various other cities have been hit by massive riots or vast thieving gangs. I have thus decided to go out and try and help repair the damage, if your in Birmingham, meet by the Bull at 10:00am to help with repairs.

Apologies in advance to anyone waiting on any proper updates!

Looks like Excidio Britannia is already kicking of!

Aside from the Sphere which has been on here a few days, I decided to start posting the hefty British Civil war background which will come in stages over the next few days, I have yet to actually have any minis for this particular campaign, however, aside from the usual Ultra Modern Brits done by Elheim or Under Fire, any 2003 or even Brits with SLRs (check out Stonewalls) would be great for this, its difficult to get any civilian dressed 20mm figs armed but you can find some at stonewalls Urban operations and R.H models. I will soon be posting some Elite unit backgrounds, one already posted on Lead Adventure and the other a completely new one. I’ll also show of some 28mm Moderns, which though slightly off topic from 20mm I do like to see and buy from time to time!

Okey so the first stage of getting this blog going is up and done, two of the factions have been put up already, if your from Lead Adventure then there is so far nothing new here! However, I will only be putting up complete armies and their short backgrounds on lead adventure (as well as battle reports when they come in!) On the blog I will be slowly updating the various pages of various factions, campaigns, characters and story lines etc so there will be more stuff but it may not be 100% complete!. Of course every page will receive updates as i expand on armies etc.

I should add for the U.S armed forces there will be 2 different armies, the USMC and the U.S army with their own vehicles and combat units, I considered a similar option with Great Britain, but instead it will simply be the British Army supplemented by the Royal Marines and RAF.

Second I have now added links to the so far known 20mm companies that are still producing and selling 20mm Modern figures, I have also put up the link to Lead adventure forum, and will be soon unloading some other links of other companies that could provide aliens or terrain etc for similar companies in 20mm. I will be providing info on 28mm Moderns eventually as well, and if you’d like me to create a section of links for other scales in regards to Moderns whether 6mm or 15mm etc, do say so!

Welcome!

Hey all! I had a sudden urge to create a blog to place all my stuff on my current wargaming project which is none other than 20mm Modern and near future warfare. The Last War Chronicles is a (hopefully) fictional period which begins around 2012 and continues onwards for some time (perhaps centuries though I have not decided yet) which covers the fictional wars between humanity and new other-worldy adversaries until the New Dawn Era! New Dawn will be another story but until then, please do glaze over what I have to add here. I should note I will be putting links in to numerous 20mm Moderns manufacturers and numerous other bits and bobs that will either help you branch of into your own 20mm moderns (or whatever you have in mind!) project, but provide a lot of background to the story and campaigns I have made up, as well as the influences behind them!

Thankyou!

Best Regards.

Ben.
